The International Union of Elevator Constructors marked two major milestones during its 33rd Convention: the union’s 125th anniversary and the beginning of a new term of leadership.
As the IUEC celebrated 125 years of history, service and solidarity, its officers were sworn in to begin their terms and carry that legacy forward.
The 33rd Convention brought together IUEC members and leaders from across the United States and Canada to reflect on the union’s history, celebrate its accomplishments and look ahead to the future of the elevator industry.
The significance of the moment was not lost on those in attendance. For 125 years, IUEC members have helped build and advance the elevator industry while standing together to promote safety, training, skilled craftsmanship and better working lives for their members.
As this leadership team begins its term, the IUEC also recognizes the generations of leaders who came before them. Their dedication and service helped build the foundation on which today’s union stands.
Now, that legacy continues.
