2026-01-02 IUEC Safety Alert - Incident Injury

A mechanic and an apprentice used the temporary movable work platform to access the overhead so they could change the battery in a battery powered light. When the mechanic told the apprentice to run the car back down, the mechanic’s hand became caught in the overhead sheave and cable used for the cable climber. The apprentice had to run the car back up to remove the mechanic’s hand.
