1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Incident-Injury-Caught Between<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n

A modernization crew parked car 1 on the 9th<\/sup>\u00a0floor using Independent Service. The mechanic was working in the pit from an 8\u2019 step ladder with the apprentice assisting from the first-floor landing. The apprentice closed the doors to get more wire connectors from upstairs. When the hoistway doors of car 1 closed, the car went into Phase I Fire Service recall and came down on top of the mechanic. His right arm was caught between the car and hoistway sills before he could get off the ladder.<\/p>\n
